all to benefit The Animal Rescue Alliance, a no-kill farm sanctuary for lost and abandoned pets and farm animals of (nearly) all sizes.
The evening, which will begin at 6:30 p.m.—as the sun's going down and the landscape begins to cool off—will have something for everyone: a silent auction, a big-stakes poker tournament and other casino games, delicious foods (vegetarian and otherwise) and sweets of many varieties, tarot card readings, raffles (some of these baskets need to be seen to be believed!), a red-carpet style photo area—and of course several bars dotted around the party site, Holland's home turf, the four-acre Rancho Providencia located at 10945 Old Santa Susana Pass Road in Chatsworth.
As always, Holland is bursting with enthusiasm to show attendees a good time while also raising tons of dough to keep homeless and helpless animals from the slaughter.
“On Saturday, July 27, Vice is Nice is celebrating our 10th Anniversary and for 10 years the industry has shown incredible support for animal rescue," Holland told AVN. "In a time of incredible change I think it’s great that a few things remain constant. Our industry has changed radically, the 'studio' system has changed, and the center of gravity has shifted from the Valley. Vice is Nice is still a wonderful time for the entire industry to come together in a casual, relaxed place and party for a good cause. Year after year, as I walk through the crowd, the thing I hear most often is, 'I haven’t seen you since last year at VIN.' It’s also a great place to people-watch, an amazing mash-up of animal rescuers, industry folks and everyone in between.
"Once again we’ll be hosting a Celebrity Poker Tournament with great prizes like a 4K flat screen, trips and gift certificates to local golf courses. And then there's the raffles, raffles and more raffles. I never knew raffles would be so popular until several years ago Moose [of Girlfriends Films] told me he had been 'working on his raffle strategy.' Who knew there was a strategy?!?! There’ll also be lots of bars, food, DJs and Ms. Erica McLean flying in from Mexico to read your cards.

One thing: Holland recommends that rather than attempting to drive yourself to the party, consider taking Uber or Lyft or even a taxi. There's plenty of parking, but if Holland detects that anyone is too tipsy to drive safely, she'll confiscate that person's keys until he/she sobers up—and there's a good chance that person will have to share space in her barn with Jack the Donkey, Momma Goat and Boy Goat, who have been known to hog [sic] the comfiest spots.
